is there a free software involving email?


i need to collect emails to advertise my business, and was wondering if there is a software to i can have running on my computer that collects email address.

    If you use Hotmail, Windows Live Mail is good. If you use others, you might want to try Mozilla Thunderbird

    I am not sure, but I think it is illegal (not to mention very annoying to go around collecting peoples email address to send them ad.) What you need to do is ask peoples permission to send them emails. I am sure there is some legal way to do this, like joining a mailing list of people who have agreed to receive ads of your type, but just going around collecting email address and sending them ads could get you in a lot of trouble.

    This is what’s called spam.

    People **** spam.

    Get some normal customers and a proper mailing list. Get a website. Maybe advertise through Google to drive people to your website.
